Grid Info

The Grid Info Function provides at-a-glance summary information about the current grid and the Adaptable Options which have been set.

Column Info

The popup also provides an overview of a given column in AdapTable together with a summary of any associated Adaptable Objects that have been created.

The popup provides standard add, edit and delete buttons as shortcuts for managing related items.

Previous versions of AdapTable contained a separate Column Info function that provided this information.

These 2 functions were combined and merged in Adaptable version 7.3

UI Elements

Grid Info includes the following UI Elements:

  • Popup - A screen with 3 tabs:

    • Grid Properties: Displays basic information about the Grid, how many Rows and Columns are visible (and in total), which filters are applied, whether there are Calculated Columns etc.

    • Adaptable Options: Lists all the Adaptable Options that have been set and what they do.

    • Column: Provides full information about a given Column and any related Functions it contains.

  • Column Menu - Contains a Show Info Menu Item with 2 sub menu items:

    • Grid - opens Grid InfoPopup on Grid Properties tab
    • Column - opens Grid InfoPopup on Column tab

  • Context Menu - Contains a Show Info Menu Item with 2 sub menu items:

    • Grid - opens Grid InfoPopup on Grid Properties tab
    • Column - opens Grid InfoPopup on Column tab

Entitlements

Grid Info Entitlement Rules:

  • Full: The Grid Info popup can be displayed

  • Hidden: The Grid Info popup is fully hidden

  • ReadOnly: N/A

Can we edit the Adaptable Options entries in Grid Info

No, all the information in that tab is currently readonly.

Can I change the Column's Data Source?

No, that is not possible.

Can I use Column Info to make a readonly column editable?

Not currently - that may change in the future if it can be permissioned correctly
